Who is responsible

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes the technical data any web server needs to deliver it: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data transferred to the USA is protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Images on cdn.jacksonly.xyz are delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., which processes the same kind of request data for the same purpose.

What your browser stores

The site stores your cookie choice and your light or dark theme in your browser's local storage. Both are needed for features you use and are not shared with anyone (§ 25(2) TDDDG).

Google Analytics, only with your consent

If you allow analytics, the site loads Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, to count visits and see which pages get read. Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_<id> and processes usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Advertising storage and ad personalization stay denied. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Analytics data is kept for at most 14 months.

Nothing from Google loads until you choose. You can withdraw your consent at any time, which also deletes the analytics cookies: Cookie settings.

Booking a call (Agent Clinic)

The “Book a call” buttons link to a booking page at cal.com, run by Cal.com, Inc. (USA). Nothing is sent to cal.com until you click. If you book, the details you enter (such as your name, email and notes) are used to schedule and hold the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Calls take place on Google Meet. Cal.com's and Google's own privacy policies apply to their services.

Email

If you email me, I use your address and message only to reply and to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR), and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires me to keep them.

Admin area

The admin area of this site is only for me. It sets a login cookie only when I sign in.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg.
